Training at Moncton Meadows

... our philosophy

At Moncton Meadows we pride ourselves on developing the character and temperament of each horse. Our horses are treated as individuals ... no two horses are started the same. Our goal is to have well mannered, willing partners that retain their own character. Training at Moncton Meadows is based on gentling, not breaking.

Horses are schooled using different techniques derived from many of the established horsemen in the equine world. In general our philosophy at Moncton Meadows centres around what we like to call the P.U.P. principle....

Chains and whips have no place at Moncton Meadows.
Horses are gentled to ride and/or drive. Upon completion of their basics, they are ready to go on to intermediate and advanced training in the discipline of your choice. Canadian Horses are a versatile breed and have been used not only as carriage horses but also as hunter/jumpers and dressage horses. Paz under saddle.jpg (80865 bytes)
